Centrica maintains its CDP A- rating status for climate change action

The release of CDP's 2018 ratings on 22nd January saw Centrica maintain its A- score for Climate change, preserving our position within the leadership band. This places us in the top 26 of UK companies and the top 12 within our sector globally (electricity utilities).

CDP, an international NGO reporting to investors, scores global corporate environmental action and disclosure. Over 7,000 companies disclosed through CDP, an 11% increase on the previous year; with reporting companies now representing over 50% of global market capitalisation.

For the second year running, Centrica has achieved an A- rating for action and disclosure on climate change. We are proud to have again been recognised for their leadership in taking strategic action on sustainable water management and climate change.

While we narrowly missed a place in the Climate A List, we continue to remain steadfast in our commitment to combating climate change and helping our customers use distributed energy solutions to improve their own environmental performance.
