What is Operation and Maintenance?
Operations and Maintenance (O&M) refers to the ongoing servicing that’s required to ensure your energy assets continually perform at their best. They can cover Heat Pump maintenance; CHP maintenance; or Solar maintenance. It includes preventative maintenance, which are a schedule of planned inspections, adjustments and other activities that are designed to reduce the likelihood that unexpected failures will happen in the future. It also includes reactive maintenance, which involves fixing an issue after it has arisen.
What is an O&M contract?
O&M contracts are an agreement with an energy solutions partner like Centrica Business Solutions, where you engage with them to regularly service your energy assets. There are different levels of O&M contract available, depending on the energy assets you have, your site requirements, your preferred contract length, and your risk appetite. If you currently have an O&M contract that you’re not happy with, it’s possible to switch from another provider to Centrica Business Solutions, and we’ll make the transition as seamless and effortless as possible.
What is CHP maintenance/services?
CHP maintenance and servicing are aftercare services that help to maximise the effectiveness and lifespan of your CHP. With regular servicing, you can maximise the savings you get from your CHP, and safeguard it’s safety.
CHP maintenance can include remote servicing - which involves your CHP being continually monitored by our Service Centre, who will be automatically alerted if anything goes wrong and can immediately take steps to resolve this. It also includes routine maintenance, which are the schedule of planned inspections that the CHP manufacturer recommends are undertaken to keep the installation operating in the correct way. Finally, it includes reactive maintenance to resolve issues or unexpected failures, aiming to reduce the impact this has on your business.
